The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has successfully completed trial of blockchain-based ticket sales system. The organization developed a mobile ticketing app which was created with the blockchain technology.
Trials were conducted on the UEFA Super Cup match between Real Madrid and the Atletico de Madrid in Talinn, Estonia, on August 15, 2018. The new app will streamline the act of buying tickets for soccer matches, making it convenient and secure.
