Nestlé to Launch Blockchain Supply Chain Tracking Pilot Program

Nestlé has announced a blockchain pilot which will allow consumers to track product sustainability and provenance.[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The food retail giant won’t be using IBM‘s blockchain tool IBM Food Trust. The company will implement supply chain tracking via blockchain platform OpenSC, developed by World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Australia and The Boston Consulting Group Digital Ventures.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]The program will start by tracing milk from producers in New Zealand to Nestlé’s factories and warehouses in the Middle East.
